Axia Construction Group Announces GPRO:CM Certification

Denver, CO, August 5, 2011 - Axia Construction Group, a Denver based general contractor, is proud to announce Edward Bushel, Axia’s Principal, has received his GPRO:CM certification and is an approved trainer of the GPRO Fundamentals and Construction Management courses.

GPRO: Green Professional Building Skills Training, is a series of courses and certificate exams that teach the people who build, renovate, and maintain buildings the principles of sustainability combined with trade-specific green construction knowledge. GPRO Certificate Holders are poised to work in accordance with new regulations and to meet the expectations of owners and tenants who want healthier, environmentally sustainable, and energy-efficient homes and offices.

GPRO provides one multi-state, third party certificate program for the full range of construction professionals. Starting with the core collection of trade-specific courses, GPRO will be distributed and supported through a consortium of U.S. Green Building Council Chapters across the country.

Axia Construction, Denver Based Commercial General Contractor, Completes Qi Lowry

Denver, CO, July 1, 2011 - Axia Construction Group completed the build-out of Qi Lowry in the Hangar 2 redevelopment in Denver, Colorado. The new yoga and spin studio is 2,350 sf and features an 800 sf spin studio, 800 sf yoga studio, a reception area and two restroom/locker rooms with a total of five showers. Construction included new HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. The space was designed by Larimer Associates.

Olathe, CO, December 30, 2009 – Axia Construction Group, Denver based construction manager, is awarded the contract to perform owner’s representative services on the addition and remodel of the Colorow Senior Care Facility. The project consists of a 14,250 sf addition involving three "pods" at the end of three existing residential wings, which contain residential rooms, kitchen and dining area. The project also includes a 5,000 sf renovation in the central core common area and contains a new kitchen, general store, dining room, physical therapy, training room, beauty parlor, and offices. The project is designed by William Brummett Architects.

Greeley, CO, January 10, 2009 – Axia Construction Group, Denver based construction manager, is awarded the contract to perform owner’s representative services on the 72,000 sf senior care facility in Greeley, Colorado. The facility consisted of three wings. The first wing was two stories, 50 residential rooms and housed skilled nursing and rehab. The second wing was also two stories, 36 residential rooms and housed assisted living. The third wing was one story, 24 residential rooms and housed memory care. The project is designed by Lantz-Boggio Architects.
